The BRX was specifically developed incorporating technology developed for the Triton Reference in order to achieve reference level performance. Although they don’t have quite the awe-inspiring bass of the floor-standing Tritons, great care has been taken, and extensive technology has been incorporated, to ensure that the BRX and Aons can deliver a remarkably satisfying full range listening experience without the need for a separate subwoofer.

Both the BRX and Aon models incorporate GoldenEar-designed cast-basket bass/midrange drivers with technology derived from the midrange units developed for the Tritons. The BRX driver is actually almost exactly the same as the 6" driver used in the Triton Reference. In addition, they all use extraordinary and costly High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR™) high frequency radiators. And the BRX uses the same tweeter developed for the Triton Reference. Every GoldenEar SuperSat satellite speaker model takes advantage of the extraordinary GoldenEar High‐Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR™) design tweeter. The HVFR tweeter propagates sound waves and moves the air by squeezing it with its accordion‐like pleated diaphragm, rather than pushing it as conventional drivers do. The result is better impedance matching to the air in the room with greater control, smoother more extended response with lower distortion and dramatically improved dynamic range. GoldenEar Technology has developed a unique technology for our soundbar series that incorporates special 3D image optimization technology to achieve superbly lifelike, wide, deep 3D playback realism with virtually no acoustic coloration.

This technology, pioneered by Sandy Gross, effectively addresses certain problems that have been brought up recently in a 3D audio research project being conducted by Dr. Edgar Choueiri at Princeton University. Dr. Choueiri points out that the crosstalk that exists between the left and right loudspeakers and our contralateral ears, especially when the left and right channels are minimally separated (as we normally encounter in soundbar systems), is deleterious to our brain's ability to fully experience and process the imaging cues so necessary for 3D imaging perception. These imaging cues are present in the recordings but dramatically corrupted in typical soundbar playback where the left and right channel speakers are simply too close together.

The 3D Array Soundbar incorporates left-, center- and right-channel speakers, plus a second set of drivers that utilize 3D Array Technology to effectively cancel out this crosstalk distortion between the left and right channel.

The result is a front soundstage that stretches from wall to wall and beyond, with amazing height, width and depth that effectively envelops the listeners in a true 180-degree soundfield, much wider than the actual physical soundbar!

Their cutting-edge amplifier design employs state-of-the-art DSP control for frequency shaping so the subwoofer produces accurate, consistent and musical bass performance.

Custom-designed high-output drivers with very large motor assemblies. These drivers handle massive power, have very long excursions, and have ultra-low distortion.

Rigid cabinets with non-parallel sides to minimize standing waves and distortion. The drivers are front firing in all of our subwoofers for optimal performance. The cabinets' possess a unique and understated shape and style that matches well with any décor.

The driver's response is enhanced with a carefully tuned, down-firing, quadratic-shaped passive radiator (no noisy ports on ForceField subs). The quadratic shape allows the radiators to use maximum surface area on the bottom of the cabinets and gets even greater output from the slot-loading that results from the subwoofers' interface with the floor (see next point).

The soft, energy-absorbing feet provided with every ForceField sub serve a number of functions. First, they hold the subwoofer at the correct distance off the floor so the passive radiator slot-loads with it for significantly increased output at the lowest frequencies. Second, the soft feet keep the subwoofer from dancing around on the floor.

ForceField subwoofer amplifiers are designed in-house by GoldenEar engineering, so each is the perfect amp to power its specific subwoofer model. In addition, the amps all have powerful DSP sections to optimize frequency response, minimize distortion and prevent damage from overdriving. These amplifiers are all low distortion and extraordinarily powerful for reproducing seriously high-output AND low bass.

ForceField subs all have speaker-level inputs and outputs (with a high pass crossover on the outputs) as well as a direct LFE input, too.

GoldenEar™ SuperCenter 5.25" Black Center Channel Speaker 

The SuperCenters are high-performance center channel speakers appropriate for the highest quality home theatre systems. They are designed to perfectly complement and match our Triton Towers and Aon Bookshelf loudspeakers, both sonically and cosmetically. Their sophisticated industrial design is both attractive and functional, both minimizing their apparent size as well as enhancing their acoustic performance.

These center channel speaker models incorporate a D’Appolito Array of two long-throw 5-1/4˝ bass/midrange drivers (four, with reference focused field magnet structures, on the Reference model) surrounding one of our signature High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeters (and a High-Gauss Reference HVFR on the Reference model).

The 5-1/4˝ drivers incorporate spiderleg cast baskets for rigidity and minimal internal reflection, as well as our unique multi-vaned phase plugs (MVPP), to minimize cross-apex wave propagation interference.

They also utilize top-mounted pressure-coupled quadratic planar low frequency radiators that both extend the bass response as well as provide the bass/midrange drivers with ideal acoustic loading and damping.

Since the top-mounted passive radiators put out a very low frequency pressure wave, they only require an inch or two of clearance above them so they can be placed in cabinets/wall units if desired (always position the speaker at the front of the opening for best performance).

Sonically, the SuperCenters offer the same lifelike, highly detailed, high-resolution, smooth, open, boxless sound quality that our SuperSat centers are famous for, but with additional low frequency extension and greater power handling capacity for greater dynamic range and impact.

It presents a compact 28-3/16” x 8-9/16” fascia, and, of course, is of a proper depth (3-1/4” without optional backbox, 3-3/4” with) to allow it to easily fit, into a standard wall depth.

Each Invisa SPS incorporates four 5-1/4” high-definition cast basket drivers, which are very similar to those found in the award-winning Triton Reference.

The Invisa SPS also incorporates an extraordinary Triton Reference High-Gauss, High Velocity Folded Ribbon Tweeter.

The complex crossover network utilizes the special fully balanced topology incorporated in our upper range models, with a special polystyrene film capacitor on the high frequency section.

The drivers are wired with special wire which has a unique twist that was engineered for highest performance.

The four 5-1/4” drivers are not identical, nor do they cover the same frequency range. In order to achieve a point source radiation pattern, with the dramatic benefits of better dispersion and improved imaging, the outer two drivers have their upper range limited to 500 Hz., while the two inner 5-1/4” drivers go all the way up to 3 kHz in order to meet and blend perfectly with the tweeter.

All this is precisely accomplished by the complex balanced crossover network.

Other small, but important details include: a switch to allow adjustment of the tweeter level, a magnetically attached low profile grille, non-resonant mineral-filled frame structure, special dogs to allow easy and secure attachment to the wall, and a rotatable tweeter to allow for correct orientation of the tweeter for vertical or horizontal positioning.

The Invisa Signature Point Source is intended for use as a main front left, right or center channel loudspeaker, as well as a side or rear surround, in high quality multi-channel home theater and music systems, as well as in simpler two channel systems of the highest quality.

The SuperCenters are high-performance center channel speakers appropriate for the highest quality home theatre systems.

Our unique linear-phase crossover network employs a fully balanced topology which reduces stray capacitances for dramatically improved clarity. It utilizes precision film capacitors and special internal wiring to perfectly blend the drivers for a seamless homogeneous sound. There are three separate internal chambers: a larger one in the center which contains two 5-1/4˝ drivers which run up to meet the tweeter and are coupled to the larger, 7˝ x 10˝ passive radiator in the center, and two smaller ones which each contain a special 5-1/4˝ driver engineered for low frequency response, which runs up to 500 Hz, and is coupled to one of the smaller, 6-3/4˝ x 8˝ passives.

They are designed to perfectly complement and match our Triton Towers and Aon Bookshelf loudspeakers, both sonically and cosmetically.

Their sophisticated industrial design is both attractive and functional, both minimizing their apparent size as well as enhancing their acoustic performance.

These center channel speaker models incorporate a D’Appolito Array of two long-throw 5-1/4˝ bass/midrange drivers (four, with reference focused field magnet structures, on the Reference model) surrounding one of our signature High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeters (and a High-Gauss Reference HVFR on the Reference model). The 5-1/4˝ drivers incorporate spiderleg cast baskets for rigidity and minimal internal reflection, as well as our unique multi-vaned phase plugs (MVPP), to minimize cross-apex wave propagation interference. They also utilize top-mounted pressure-coupled quadratic planar low frequency radiators that both extend the bass response as well as provide the bass/midrange drivers with ideal acoustic loading and damping. Since the top-mounted passive radiators put out a very low frequency pressure wave, they only require an inch or two of clearance above them so they can be placed in cabinets/wall units if desired (always position the speaker at the front of the opening for best performance).

The top of the SuperCenter lineup is the reference-performance SuperCenter Reference, the perfect match for large GoldenEar home theater systems. Only 35” wide, it includes four 5-1/4" drivers utilizing the focused-field magnet structure developed for the Triton Reference, the GoldenEar Reference high-gauss High Velocity Folded Ribbon tweeter, and three planar passive radiators.

GoldenEar™ SuperSub® 12" Piano Gloss Black Subwoofer

GoldenEar's best subwoofer, the SuperSub™ Series models are ultra-high-performance yet amazingly compact subwoofers that incorporate many recently developed unique and advanced technologies and components. The goal was to create beautifully styled, finely finished, reasonably sized subwoofers that could generate very low-frequency pressure waves of extremely high amplitude, while delivering accurate and precise low-frequency performance that is both highly impactful and extremely musical.

In order to achieve this, the SuperSubs, GoldenEar's best subwoofer series, incorporates a unique, patented* 360 degree dual-plane inertially-balanced driver and sub-bass radiator topology, combined with a very advanced electronics package.

With two active drivers separated horizontally in space, as well as two passive radiators separated vertically, the driver-to-room coupling is distributed much more smoothly, for in-room bass performance that can’t typically be achieved with a single subwoofer.

The electronics packages that drive the SuperSubs' fully balanced array are a 1600 watt (XXL) and 1400 watt (X) Class D Digital amplifiers whose design is based on the technology originally developed for the GoldenEar Triton One tower. Features include: Discrete multi-band limiting, phase-perfect equalization, fully balanced and advanced reconstruction filters and a strong focus on keeping latency to an absolute minimum. Input facilities include a direct-coupled, unfiltered LFE input for home theater, or stereo Left/Right low-level inputs with low-pass for two-channel setups. Sonically, the result of all this technology is a rock-solid bass response that is both exceptionally fast and tuneful for music and extraordinarily deep and powerful, in order to effortlessly reproduce the most extreme movie sound effects.

The 6˝ upper/bass/midrange drivers incorporate a low-mass voice coil and cone with unique low-mass bonding to the butyl rubber surround for improved transient response.

The 6˝x10˝ active low-frequency drivers for the built-in powered subwoofers have 40% more surface area than the active drivers used in other Tritons.

The Reference High-Velocity Folded-Ribbon tweeter incorporates 50% more rare-earth neodymium magnet material than do our non-Reference HVFR tweeters, for improved transient response and higher efficiency. The four inertially balanced 10.5˝x 9.5˝ side-mounted (two on each side), planar, infrasonic radiators are similar to those used in the SuperSub X, but have been retooled to allow for even greater excursion.

The Reference has been engineered to perform with a dramatic and authoritative voice, comparable to speakers many times its surprisingly affordable price.

They completely disappear, with superb three-dimensional imaging that stretches from wall to wall and beyond.

Tremendous time and energy has been put into the voicing of the speaker and the seamless blending of the drivers, for unmatched musicality with all types of music, and home theater perfection.
